Nina’s Coffee Café – Saint Paul, Minnesota – September 2013:
A few months after moving back to Minnesota in 2013 we had an exhibit of our Lithuanian artwork at Nina’s Coffee Café. This “Goodbye Kaunas” show was our farewell to the city in which we had lived for the last eight years — the city where we were inspired to return to our artwork after many years of a work and travel lifestyle that was too demanding for that.
We had a good turnout for the opening reception on September 6, a mix of family and many old friends, along with a few friendly strangers. We especially like the space at Nina’s – it’s a classic building with two-story-high ceilings. Our pieces fit well in this space. We very much appreciated the opportunity to have this exhibit.
