Winter Morning

I have drawn only a few winter scenes. “Winter Morning” is on Summit Avenue in St. Paul following the incredible dumping of snow we received in February 2014. I drew this in from a photo in 2015, and finally worked on it last fall. It was quite a challenge, with so much snow and detail, especially using transparent color. I enjoyed capturing the rhythm of the snow in the trees and the soft blue shadows on the ground.
